Our Favorite Restaurants on 30A!

The Redbar - A 30A Classic with Live Music & Laid-Back Vibes

The Redbar is a must-stop when visiting 30A. It’s lively, a little loud, and perfectly laid-back—and they don’t take reservations, but honestly, the wait is part of the experience. There’s usually a small jazz band playing in the front room, setting the tone right away. The bar sits at the center of the space, and after a long day in the sun, the drinks always hit just right. Once you’re seated, your server brings over a giant chalkboard with their intentionally small menu. The simple, crisp salad and creamy mashed potatoes are staples, and I almost always lean toward the fresh seafood. If you can manage it, save room for dessert! Parking has become trickier as Grayton Beach has grown in popularity, but they now offer a shuttle from a nearby lot just up the street, which makes it much easier.

Cafe Thirty-A - Best Martinis and Crabcakes on 30A

Cafe Thirty-A has long been a favorite for our family. Known for its excellent martinis, this is the kind of spot that calls for a reservation, a quick shower, and one of the nicer outfits you packed. It has an upscale, special-occasion feel without being stuffy. While everything on the menu is well done, the crab cakes are my personal favorite on all of 30A—packed with crab, minimal filler, and lightly fried for just the right amount of crunch without overwhelming the flavor. Try to make it to 'Tini night for $6 martinis — Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30 to 6:30pm in the bar.

Shunk Gulley- A 30A Classic with Live Music & Laid-Back Vibes

Shunk Gulley is one of those laid-back 30A spots that perfectly captures the casual, come-as-you-are beach vibe. It’s informal and fun, with indoor and outdoor seating that makes it easy to relax with friends or family after a day in the sun. The atmosphere is always lively without being chaotic, and it feels like a place locals and visitors both love to return to. The menu leans into classic coastal comfort food with plenty of seafood options, burgers, and pub favorites. I’ve always appreciated how generous the portions are — you won’t leave hungry. The drink selection is solid too, especially if you’re in the mood for a cold beer or a refreshing cocktail on the patio. Service tends to be friendly and easygoing, which fits the overall vibe. It’s not a fine-dining experience, but that’s part of the charm — it’s exactly the kind of place you go to unwind, enjoy good food, and soak up the beach energy.

Mimmos- Warm, Rustic, Italian Charm

Mimmo’s is one of those places we end up at again and again on 30A, usually without much debate, especially because it is only one mile from Seaside Me. It's practically walkable, especially in the summer and you'd like to have a few glasses of wine. It’s energetic and busy, but in a fun, vacation way. The menu is straightforward Italian comfort food, and that’s exactly the point. Pastas, wood-fired pizza, familiar flavors, and portions that don’t leave anyone wondering what’s next. It’s especially great when you’re with a group or kids, because there’s truly something for everyone. Service moves quickly, even when it’s packed, which I always appreciate. Mimmo’s isn’t trying to be a hidden gem or a fine-dining destination — it’s reliable, welcoming, and part of the 30A routine. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you want.

Old Florida Fish House - Great Seafood and Even Better Ambiance

Old Florida Fish House is a staple and a go-to for many visitors to 30A. Some people give varying opinions but we love the charm of the place, sitting outside under the twinkling lights on a warm summer evening. It sits right on Eastern Lake, and the views—especially at sunset—never get old. Seafood is delicious and service is always dependable. Most nights offer live music.

George's at Alys Beach - Casual but Amazing Food

You will find George’s at Alys Beach on many "favorite restaurant" lists. The setting alone is beautiful—clean white architecture, palm trees, and that polished Alys Beach vibe that feels special without being over the top.  The menu changes often so there’s always something new to try.  George’s is polished, welcoming, and just a really good all-around dining experience in Alys Beach. Be sure to go a little early to grab a drink on their new sunset deck!
